How to Effectively A/B Test Send Time Optimization

By Ivan LaBianca on Jul 27, 2021 6:52:52 PM

In general, we don’t recommend A/B testing as a primary metric for evaluating the performance of send time optimization.

Because send time optimization usually increases email health overall, the benefits of using this approach compound over time. Split tests take none of the long term benefits of using send time optimization into account. At best, a split test will only tell you how much lift STO gave to a specific email.

Email Verification Tools: How They Work, and Which to Choose

By Ivan LaBianca on Aug 27, 2020 2:05:15 PM

Did you know that if your email list contains 10% or more invalid addresses, email service providers may deliver less than half of your emails? If your open rates have been declining recently, it might be because the emails that you sent never made it to the inbox at all. Email verification tools can be part of the solution to this problem.

“But I got my list via inbound marketing, I don’t have a problem!,” you say.

Guess what, after just twelve months 21% of the average B2B email list will no longer be valid. While the numbers are better for B2C lists, email list quality degradation is still a serious concern.

I guess it's not surprising that some of the most common feedback we get from customers is that Seventh Sense makes their lives less stressful. Higher ROI from email is great, but its the "email insurance policy" that comes with sending email out over a longer time drastically reduces the likelihood of those "high stress" moments.

Work Email Trends After Hours - Infographic

By John Murphy - President of Reachmail on Dec 15, 2017 10:39:02 PM

The great part about email is that it means we can get work done no matter what time it is. Unfortunately, the not-so- great part about email is that it means we think we should get work done no matter what time it is. If you ask American professionals what their biggest source of stress and worry is at work, they’re likely to say it’s the anxiety they feel when looking at their email inboxes. Because emails pour into our inboxes constantly throughout the workday, we’re always aware that there’s a pile of questions sitting there waiting for us to answer them — some of which may be urgent.
